Assalamu alaikum respected parents,

I pray you are all well. We look forward to seeing all our students tomorrow, FEBRUARY 18th in sha Allah. Please note that we have PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES THIS Sunday FEBRUARY 18th In Sha Allah. Students will have half day and will be dismissed at 11:30. Please make sure to pick students on time (at 11:30) so Parent Teacher Conferences can start promptly in sha Allah at 11:45 AM in the IFN Banquet Hall and will end at 1:00 PM. We look forward to seeing all parents in sha Allah.

Sunday School is pleased to announce it's first ever Parent Support Group (PSG) of the 2023-24 School year led by Sr Samina Anwar and our amazing team of parent volunteers. They have lined up several activities for rest of the year in sha Allah, starting with the "Welcome Ramadan Party" on March 10th, 2024 for our students during Sunday School hours. Look for more information in the flyer included in the Newsletter.

MORNING ASSEMBLY: On Sunday (2/11), our morning assembly was led by Br Imam Azfar. He read aloud a book "Olive Harvest in Palestine" and students loved listening to a story of childhood memories by Wafa Shami which takes the reader's imagination on a journey, starting from how olives are picked, through how they are pressed into oil, bottled and finally arrive in the consumer's hands.

This is one of my favorite sections of the Newsletter as I get to brag about our amazing team Alhumdulillah, who make Sunday School special. We are blessed and fortunate to have an excellent team of teachers and TA's who are very passionate and dedicated members of our community offering their valuable time and efforts to the noble cause of imparting Islamic education to our youth Alhumdulillah. Please refer to this FULL LIST OF TEACHERS for the 2023-24 school year along with their contact information. Our goal is help parents gets to know their children's teachers in sha Allah. Hence I will be introducing one to two teachers/TA's every week in my Newsletter Teacher Spot Light Section. See image below.

Parent involvement is essential for students development, leads to increased student achievement and success and offers many benefits. We highly encourage our parents to get involved at IFN Sunday School which is why we are offering several opportunities for parent involvement this year. These include the following:

1. Join Parent Support Group (PSG)

2. Become a Teaching Assistant

3. Become a Lunch/Recess Supervisor

4. Lead a Morning Assembly at Sunday School

5. Be a Substitute Teacher or TA
