Who Made a Difference at the Bobcat Dash?
Friday was such a good day at the Bobcat Dash. So many people made that happen and we want to recognize who made a difference. 1. Our Children--They ran hard and ran lots. They cheered for each other and learned to dance to "Cotton Eyed Joe." They put forth lots of effort and had so much fun. 2. Our Volunteers--We want to give a round of applause to Bernice Huskins and Lauren Barnes who coordinated the Bobcat Dash. (They led the event without ever seeing The Dash in previous years. Well done, ladies!!) Our PTO Board (Amanda Winters, Emmanuel Daniel, Celia Kerr, Caroline Stubbs, and Shannon Martin) provided lots of support and guidance. In addition, so many other volunteers came to blow up balloons, set up tables, mark shirts, and clean up when it was over. You did so much for the day to be a success. We thank you all for your extra effort. 3. Our Sponsors--(See below.) We appreciate each business and organization that contributed to the Bobcat Dash as a sponsor. So many of these sponsors not only contribute to our school but also to other worthy causes in our community. We value your investment in our children and school. 4. Our Families--You came to cheer for your children. You have given your time, your attention and your finances. You gave because you believe in your student and our school. We do not take that for granted and we appreciate all you do for the Cherry Park Family. 5. Our Staff--You helped prepare our children for Friday. You organized and planned ahead to keep everyone safe and secure. You gave up planning time and flexed your schedule for the day. You taught little ones who were excited and off schedule. You showed them how to have fun and you cheered like crazy for their effort. You led them well on Friday just like you lead them every other day of the year. I am blessed to get to work with you each day.
The Bobcat Dash accomplishes so much by raising funds to support special projects at our school. It also brings us together as a school family to celebrate and have fun. Thank you for all that you do each day to make a difference in your child and our school. Hear my applause.
Strength and Blessings,
Mr. Maness
