Note From The Principal
Dear Families,
THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of the families who came out and supported us on Exhibition Night last week! The event was a huge success and we were so grateful to you for joining us! Our students presented some amazing work with such pride and the feedback they received form you all was much appreciated. This will again be an annual event, so if you came and enjoyed yourself, please help spread the word to others to come out because it's a good time and means so much to your kids (even if they are being grumpy teens and acting like they don't care or don't want you there) 😊
Please read on for important upcoming dates including MCAS schedules!
Wishing you all the best,
Christine Douglas

Important FAFSA information for senior families
A small piece of good news this week, as we learned on Tuesday that some FAFSAs have begun to process. We will continue to monitor and check in with students during College & Career Readiness (CCR) class. Please have a conversation with your child, if you haven’t already, and ask them where their FAFSA process stands. Some students will need to make corrections once their FAFSA processes and they need to do this in a timely manner. Students can login to studentaid.gov to check the status of their application, and they also receive emails when there are updates to their accounts. MEFA, a trusted financial aid resource, is offering families additional help through their webinar: “Personalized Help Completing, Updating, and Correcting Your FAFSA.” Families can register here.
Other information for senior families
At this point in the year, 90% of seniors have applied to at least one college, and almost half have received at least one acceptance to colleges and universities across New England, and other parts of the country such as New York, New Jersey, Michigan, and Colorado!
On-time attendance in CCR class is important for seniors to maintain through the end of the year. We will be covering very important information including financial aid and finding resources and support in college. Several seniors have failed the class at this point due to attendance; Ms. Martin is emailing all seniors in this situation and their parents this week. If a senior needs the credit to graduate, they have the option to compete 2 additional assignments and Ms. Martin will include this information in the email.
Information for Junior families
This semester, juniors are participating in a semester-long College & Career Readiness class, taught by Mr. Costa. This week, students learned more about the SAT and registered for the exam.
