Dear Dolphin families,
What a wonderful past week for BCHS! English 2 students kicked off final exams with the Writing portion of the EOCE and several areas had EOCE boot camps to complete final preparation. We hosted an informational night for our ESOL Program and welcomed a guest speaker for our Student Support classes to highlight one career option. Our Band participated in Christmas Parades in Beaufort County and our athletics teams shined in both Basketball and Wrestling!
We start EOCEs (a major portion of our SC School Report Card rating) and final exams this Friday 12/13/24. Please be sure your child(ren) gets good rest and is on time for school this week as exams start promptly at 8:45AM daily.
The last day for fall tutoring/seat time is Thursday 12/12/24.

Tutoring takes place daily:
- before school from 7:45-8:15 , M-F
- after school from 4-5PM, M-TH

EOC Exams - Student Achievement
Two indicators that are a significant part of our Annual School Report Card rating are Academic Achievement and Preparing for Success. These are calculated by SC End of Course Exams in the following courses:
Algebra 1
English 2
Biology 1
US History & Constitution
This exam counts 20% of your child's grade and impacts their GPA as well. All students have been assigned virtual tutor practice in EdGenuity for his/her respective exam.
As parents/guardians, please discuss with your child(ren) how they can prepare for and take these exams seriously for personal and school success.
School Climate
We have begun Tighten Up Tuesdays! This is an opportunity for our students to dress for success. Students attire must be dress code compliant. Let's see who can DRESS FOR SUCCESS BEST!
We will start focus groups to plan student recognitions and celebrations for semester 2; thank you to all who expressed interest!
INTER-CLUB Council: Mrs. Gilbert will be spearheading our goal of aligning our student organizations - pre-planning is taking place now.
