September is rolling along. We are in our 2nd full week of this month. We are moving from multiplication into time.

- It is going to be hot over the next few weeks. This means we might not always be able to go outside for recess but we will have indoor recess.

What We Are Doing This Week
Math:
Monday: We will solve word problems involving time intervals within 1 hour by counting backward and forward using the number line and clock.
Tuesday: We will solve word problems involving time intervals within 1 hour by adding and subtracting on the numberline.
Wednesday: We will build and decompose a kilogram to reason about the size, weight of 1 kilogram, 100 grams, 10 grams, and 1 gram.
Thursday: We will develop estimation strategies by reasoning about the weight in kilograms of a series of familiar objects to establish mental benchmark measures.
Science:
We will demonstrate that the position and motion of an object can be changed by forces. Students will plan an investigation to demonstrate and explain how pushing and pulling forces change the position or motion of an object.
