Preference will be given to those who have gone through (or are currently participating in) LETRS training or ODE's 18 hours of Dyslexia training.

What is a sound wall, and why should I replace my word wall with one?
How do I set up a sound wall & explicitly teach all 44 phonemes to my students?
How do I incorporate sound walls in my phonics instruction?
How do I use my sound wall in daily routines?

DATE: Monday, October 16, 2023

Time: 8:30 am - 3:30pm (sign-in starts at 8:00 am)

Food:

Coffee, water, and light snacks will be provided. Soda will be available to purchase for $0.50 a can. Lunch will be 1 hour on your own.

Materials:

Each participant will receive the required materials for this workshop -- a Sound Wall Classroom Kit (FREE!)

Due to a grant, the cost of the workshop is free; however, we are limited to 40 participants and anyone who does not show up, or who cancels their registration, will not receive the kit.

Sound Wall (Basic) Training

What time should I arrive at the training site? Please arrive 15 minutes early to each session to complete the check-in process. Please enter through entrance #3 around the back side of the building and check in with the front desk before proceeding to the assigned training area.

Food & Beverage: Coffee, bottled water, and assorted snacks will be available throughout the workshops. Soda will be available to purchase for an additional $0.50 from the front desk.
