Basics of and how to use Sound Walls in the Classroom
Target Audience:
- PreK-5 Teachers
- Reading Interventionists, Coaches, & Specialists
- EL Teachers
- SLPs
- Administrators
- Preference will be given to those who have gone through (or are currently participating in) LETRS training or ODE's 18 hours of Dyslexia training.
What is the Focus?
- What is a sound wall, and why should I replace my word wall with one?
- How do I set up a sound wall & explicitly teach all 44 phonemes to my students?
- How do I incorporate sound walls in my phonics instruction?
- How do I use my sound wall in daily routines?

Coffee, water, and light snacks will be provided. Soda will be available to purchase for $0.50 a can. Lunch will be 1 hour on your own.Materials:
Each participant will receive the required materials for this workshop -- a Sound Wall Classroom Kit (FREE!)
