We Can’t Bypass Reality
Experiencing difficult realities while honoring our God-given dignity.
We must begin with honoring—respecting the inherent dignity and value that we and our fellow image bearers share. We honor our stories, our pain, and the actual flesh-and-blood realities we live with. There is no bypassing reality, and there is no bypassing the bodies that have carried us in and through this reality. This is where we must begin. Not because all truth is found here, but because without our whole selves there can be no true healing. When we experience difficulty through the lens of respect and dignity, we are more likely to be able to move through what comes our way.

Hi Everyone,
We begin Holy Week this Sunday, Palm Sunday, the most important week in the Christian calendar, reflecting on our own journey.
Next Thursday, Holy Thursday, sees our children in the gym participating in the 9.00am Holy Week Liturgy prepared for them by our Year Four children. We would love you to join us.
Thank you Rob, our staff, and the record number of parent volunteers for Friday’s Years 3-6 Swimming Carnival! A great event conducted in perfect weather! Rob reviewed last year’s carnival and the changes for 2023 reflect that. Thankyou Rob for a great day!
The number of parent volunteers, evident in the canteen roster, swimming carnival, and more, is just amazing. School could not run as it does without you. Thank you so much for your generosity.
We hope you enjoyed the 'Harmony Day' photos taken yesterday - this was a lovely day for all of us!
Have a great weekend,
Mark

Pre-Kindy Making Jesus Real Display.
🧡HAPPY HARMONY DAY🧡
Our diversity makes Australia a great place to live. Harmony Day is a celebration of our cultural diversity – a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home. Students were encouraged to wear orange today to celebrate!
Sickness
We have had quite a few children (and some staff) away the past couple of weeks and the reasons are many - covid, flu, gastro for example. Our wish is for everyone to be well and at school, but our appreciation goes to you for really helping your children to get well more quickly and to minimise the spread of sickness at school, by keeping sick children home. This means a great deal to our community. Thank you very much indeed for being so mindful.
GRIP Student Leader Conference
On Monday the 18th of March the Student Leaders, along with Miss Rees and Mr Kinder, participated in the GRIP Student Leadership Conference at the Perth Convention Centre. We took part in a number of sessions, joining in with over a thousand leaders from other schools. The first session was about ‘How Everybody Can Step Forward and Lead’. In this session we talked about how to use our talents to help make change within our schools. In the second session we talked about the sacrifices of a student leader, what others may think of us, and that we shouldn’t expect anything in return for our leadership. After a quick break we continued onto topic 3 where we discussed ‘Stepping Forward With New Ideas’. We brainstormed ideas about how we can expand, improve and make a positive impact at our school. It was a great day, and all the Student Leaders cannot wait to share some of their new ideas over the rest of the year.
