Fall Fun with Friends!
The past few Fridays have been filled with fun activities for HMS students at all grade levels.
Our grade six students enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of music, games, and inflatable activities with their team mates during their Fall Festival.
Shark, Barracudas, and Pirates in grade seven had a "spooktacular" time at the annual Halloween Social. There was music, games, and of course, plenty of treats for all!
Finally, eighth graders had a great time hanging out with friends, enjoying music, and having a fun with friends at their Fall Bonfire.
A huge thank you to our amazing PTO and parents who organized the fantastic fall events!
HMS Candy Collection
Please drop off your excess Halloween candy to the boxes in the lobby of Hingham Middle School from after Halloween until Thursday, November 7. The candy will be shipped to deployed soldiers from Hingham as well as delivered to local veterans.
Looking for a new activity to try after school? Check out the Cooking Club! Recently, Students enjoyed seasonal favorites by sampling three varieties of local apples and preparing Caramel Apple Bites. Listen to the Daily Notices for more information on future meetings.
Remembering Luke - Thank You!
We cannot thank the HMS community enough for their kindness and generosity over this past week.
Over the course of just a few days, we were able to collect enough in donations that will allow us to make a donation of over $1,300.00 to the Spirit of Children fund. Beyond that, it was so touching to see our school all decked out in purple in memory of Luke.
Thank you all for your generosity, your kindness, and your compassion.
HMS is Here to Help
We understand that making ends meet can be difficult for some families in our HPS community. Therefore, we want to let you know that there are individuals in each of our schools who are ready to provide information and assistance. Resources may be available to help families in times of financial need or other challenging situations. Our particular area of outreach is for food support for the upcoming holidays.
Please don’t hesitate to contact an administrator, the school nurse, or counseling personnel at your child's school if you are in need of food support for the holidays. Rest assured that your request will be managed in a way that respects your rights to confidentiality.

Health Class - Eat This, Not That
We all enjoy treating ourselves to a meal out now and again, but there are always choices we can make that will lead to an overall healthier experience.
In health during our nutrition unit, students participated in an activity called, Eat This, Not That. The objective is to identify “healthier” restaurant/fast food/coffee shop options and to gain a better understanding of our food choices.
Below is an example of how one can easily avoid some less healthy options at Dunkin'.
