Morris County is developing a Local Safety Action Plan (LSAP), which aims to identify ways to reduce traffic collisions and make our roadways safer. Input from our local communities is important to the success of the project. Your assistance is requested in promoting public feedback via an interactive map and survey, which are available to the public here in both English and Spanish: https://morris-county-lsap-njtpa2.hub.arcgis.com/Counseling Corner
Please see the information below for the month of December from our school counselor, Mrs. LaCosta
December– The SEL theme of the month is integrity. School wide we will be focusing on doing the right thing when no one is watching, playing fair, honesty, and self-confidence. To help teach these character traits, during the week of 12/16 I will be pushing into the physical education classes to discuss these topics. Additionally, students will also have the opportunity to participate in classwide Hula Hoop, Rocks, Paper, Scissor Challenge. I have linked a video here for a similar challenge.
Upcoming dates:
12/2-12/16 -- Operation Teddy Bear Collection The Early Act Club in collaboration with the RHS Interact Club will be collecting new stuffed animals to be donated to NJ Battered Women's Shelter (see flier linked above). Students can bring in new stuffed animals during this week and drop them off in the designated drop box.
12/16-12/10 -- Hula Hoop, Rocks, Paper, Scissor Challenge. To help teach students about integrity, honesty, and self-confidence, students will participate in a Hula hoop, Rocks, Paper Scissor Challenge during physical education class.

There are some conditions that require a doctor’s note for clearance (please check with the nurse) but when possible, doctor’s notes are always encouraged.
3. We take food allergies seriously here at Franklin. If your child has a food allergy or sensitivity and you would like an alternate menu, please contact Lorraine Kunick, Director of Nutrition for Maschio’s Food Services via email: lkunick@maschiofood.com. If your child comes to school without a packed lunch, we will assume it is okay for that student to have the daily menu option or the swap out item. You can find the lunch menu on the Franklin website.
You can find information about our Life Threatening Food Allergy Program here.
Students can only bring food from the Approved Snacks list into their classrooms or instructional areas.
4. Please send your child with a change of clothes in the event they have an accident or get dirty at recess.
