Dear Families,
This week there was a lot of excitement in the building with Halloween and All Saints Day. Thank you to everyone who donated candy for our All Saints Day celebration. Our families are always so generous and we have plenty of supplies for upcoming events and celebrations as well.
On All Saints Day, we started a new tradition at Holy Name School. Each year classes will pick a patron saint. This year they received a framed picture to hang in their classroom. They will learn about the life of the saint, their virtuous qualities, and ask for their intercession throughout the year. Please consider asking your child about their class' patron saint and what they are learning about in school.
I want to make parents aware that we will be having a lock down drill within the next two weeks. Our faculty and staff have received training through the Fall River Police Department and will be receiving more this year. We will be speaking with children at an age-appropriate level about the lock-down drills and procedures. Once we have conducted the drill, I will then send an email out to families to make you aware that the drill took place. We always encourage families to talk with their children about the drill as well. Please reach out if you have any questions.
