Happy Halloween from our FHS Staff!
Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Staff participated in a pumpkin decorating contest using real, mini-pumpkin pie pumpkins. Students and other staff voted on their favorites and did not know which staff member they were voting for! Wow...so much talent! We are grateful for everyone's efforts which created fierce competition and lots of laughter!
Pumpkins were created by: (from left to right) Front: Mr. Rolando, Mrs. Shermoen, Mrs. Fehrman, Mrs. Simon, Mrs. Line . Back: Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. Cowman, Senior Christianson, Ms. Groom.
The Artists and Their Pumpkins!
Missing: Mrs. Simon (Charli standing in for her) and Mrs. Shermoen.
And the winner is...
Our very own talented art teacher, Mrs. Simon! Congratulations! Her prize was a snack package and a $25 Visa gift card!
A Fall Meal...
...Made From Scratch!
Students from the Alternative Learning Center had the opportunity to cook a meal with Peggy from Faith United Church. They made vegetable soup, cheesy braided bread, and baked pumpkins for pie and muffins. (Pictured are Taityn and Peggy having a great time! )
CIS Students & 6th Graders Partnering for Learning and Fun!
Senior CIS (College in the Schools) Creative Writing students were special guests for a 6th grade writing class on Halloween. The students worked together to create Halloween poetry, ate treats, and enjoyed getting to know one another. The 6th grade students were star struck getting to meet some of their very favorite Broncos! Thank you seniors!
Halloween Cupcakes
Students in Foods class made and decorated cupcakes for Halloween. Not only were they creative and well designed...they were delicious!
Do You Have a Pumpkin?
Staff joined in on the October fun! Six tiny pumpkins were randomly passed out to staff members. If asked, they had to give up their pumpkin to whomever asked. It was a competition to see who could keep or acquire a pumpkin by the end of the day . Whoever did, won a prize! Thanks to ALL for playing and having some October fun!
Halloween Fun at FHS!
Students and staff enjoyed a festive Halloween! Many dressed up and enjoyed special class activities. The bells on this day were " a scary laugh" as opposed to the typical bell. Students of all ages commented on what a fun day it was.
Costume Contest Winners!
Student Council hosted a Halloween costume contest with prizes going to the top 3 with the most votes in each category; 6-8 and 9-12. All students were invited to vote for their favorites via Google Form. Votes were close, as all of the costumes were fantastic! Congratulations to our Costume Contest Winners (pictured above) and to all who dressed up and participated!
Tractor Supply Donation
Ashley Sears from Tractor Supply delivers a donation to Mr. Olson's class. We are grateful for our community supporters!

Conflict and Bullying
Please talk to a trusted adult if you or a friend are struggling with conflict, bullying. We have attached some resources below as a guide. When we bring a community together, conflicts inevitably arise. If the conflict persists into bullying or harassment it is imperative that students and adults work together to make it stop. At FHS we take this seriously and will thoughtfully and carefully investigate each incidence, help resolve conflict, and address bullying. Everyone deserves to feel safe at school!

🔦🔦Spotlight on our Amazing Staff! 🔦🔦
Hello! I’m Mr. Casareto, the Physical Education and Health Education teacher here at Falls High School. I graduated from Falls High School myself and then attended Rainy River Community College before completing my degree at Bemidji State University.
I've been teaching for 8 years, and this is my second year at FHS. Prior to this, I spent 6 years teaching and coaching at Rock Ridge Schools in Virginia, MN. I’m passionate about promoting physical activity and health education among my students.
Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my wife Olivia and our daughter Casey. We enjoy spending time at the cabins, being on the lake, sporting events, fishing, golfing and hunting. There is nothing quite like being outside!
