2025 March RES Newsletter

March 10th - 14th. We are celebrating reading with week-long activities and a Rainier Reading Night on March 12th. A special Read Across Rainier newsletter will be emailed on Thursday, March 6th, On Friday, March 7th, flyers and coloring sheets will sent home with the students. Coloring competition, Buddy Reading, Classroom Competition, Character Day dress-up, and an evening full of activities!

Our students participated in the Kids Heart Challenge fundraiser for the American Heart Association. The students earned Otter Pops at recess for surpassing the goal of $6000. The students raised $7749.00 for the American Heart Association.

Mrs. Foley's class won a free PE period for having the most students participate. Novalea Johnson, Brock Martin, and Jameson Conley raised the most donations. These three students get to give Mr. Lawton a pie to the face.

A brief email will be sent If the office has advance notification of a menu change. The change will be noted in the subject line so parents can quickly read and delete. The information will also be posted to Skyward Family Access.

Third quarter is almost complete! We will be holding parent-teacher conferences this spring by appointment only.

Conferences are a wonderful opportunity to discuss the progress your child is making this quarter. Please look for information from your child’s teacher to sign up for a conference time. We will do our best to accommodate families, however, we will only have enough time slots for one 15-minute conference per child. Our conferences will be held on the following dates:

• Tuesday, April 1st (4:30 – 7:30 PM)
• Wednesday, April 2nd (12:30 – 3:30 PM)
• Thursday, April 3rd (12:30 – 3:30 PM)

Monday, March 31st is a full day of school. Tuesday, April 1st - Friday, April 4th are 1/2 days. Students are released at 11:35 AM.

Come join the fun at our "Heritage Hoedown" featuring our Rainier Elementary K-5 students. Each grade level will perform an American folk song and dance during their specialist time. Western concert attire is encouraged. Yee Haw!
