Puma Pounce
October 30th, 2024
Hello Pumas!
I can’t believe we are already entering our last days of October! We have some updates for you all below including Jog-A-Thon, Dining for Dinero, Winter Sale and more.
Jog-A-Thon
We are so excited to announce that we have reached our Jog-A-Thon fundraising goal! We came together as a community and raised just over $16,000 which means our students get a fun surprise at an upcoming assembly, more details will follow. This is also a huge step towards building our budget to support our school, students and teachers. A big thank you to each and every member of this community for all your support.
Winter Sale
Our Winter Sale orders have opened! You should see order forms coming home this week however, we encourage families to order through our online ordering option here. Remember to share this with your family, friends and neighbors who may be looking to purchase pies and wreaths this year! Items will be available for pick up on Wednesday, December 4th.
Dining for Dinero
Our Neighborhood Creamery event was a big success. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it out! Our raffle winner this month was Andrea Bennett. Congratulations!
November’s Dining for Dinero event is scheduled for Thursday, November 14th at Pietro’s Pizza in downtown Milwaukie. When you visit, bring in our flyer or simply tell them you are there to support Milwaukie El Puente! Invite your family and friends as well; 20% of each order will go back to the school.
Remember to take a selfie/picture with your pizza and tag us on Instagram or Facebook @MilwaukieElPuentePTO (or send to president@milwaukieelpuentepto.org if you don't do social media) to be entered into November’s raffle.
November PTO Meeting
Our next PTO meeting will be on Thursday, November 14th from 6:30PM - 7:30PM in the library. We will have some activities for the kids and our gym will be open for play! Spanish interpretation will be provided.
Clubs
A reminder that starting Tuesday, November 5th, we are partnering with the school to open the front doors at 7:00AM for students who need to arrive early. We will be offering some fun activity options for students in the library from 7:00AM - 7:45AM. Our cafeteria will still open at 7:30AM for students who want to enjoy breakfast at school. We will need the support of our community to make this happen so if you are interested in volunteering, please click here to sign up for a shift.
We are still working on building our after school club options. If you are interested in coordinating, running, or helping run an after school club, please reach out to Jamie at president@milwaukieelpuentepto.org
