Fill The Dome
Written by Kathryn Shih And Avery Larson
Dear Longfellow families, we have an important announcement to make. Our fourth grade classes will be participating in the Fill the Dome event.
The Fill the Dome event is a fundraiser for struggling families who don’t have enough food/money. This fundraiser is led by Fargo North High School students in the DECA Club. This all started in 2007, and focuses on filling the FargoDome floor with non-perishable food or donations. At the end of this event the donations go to the Great Plains Food Bank.
Last year, Mr. H didn't think we could get over 1,000 lbs., but we proved him wrong! Longfellow raised 1415.6 lbs. of food/donations. This year our goal is 1610 lbs. of food/donations.
Longfellow will collect for this event from November 18th through 22nd. If you want more information go to the website and search Fill The Dome.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could send your child/children with non-perishable food/donations. If you are unable to donate that is perfectly fine, but if you can donate, please do.
Thank you Longfellow families!
