College Football Tournament
On November 20th, we hosted an exciting College Football Tournament on PlayStation 5, drawing a great group of students for some intense and fun competition. Congratulations to Shemar Childs for claiming first place and earning a $20 Wawa Gift Card, and a special shoutout to Da'Wayne Hall for finishing as the runner-up and receiving a $10 gift card. The event was a fantastic display of skill, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship!
PBIS Rewards
During November, the Flagler County Youth Center continued its efforts to promote positive behavior both inside and outside the classroom. On Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, the Youth Center conducted its third-grade check for the year. Students who achieved all A's on their progress reports were rewarded with pizza, chips, and a drink. Those with A's and B's had the option to choose two of these rewards. We also rewarded students who had no unexcused absences. We encourage our students to continue working hard to improve their grades and personal growth.

Thank you to FPC, Buddy Taylor Middle School, Bunnell Elementary School, and all other organizations that participated. We could not have done it without all of you!
Carver Giving
This year marked our 3rd annual Carver Giving. On Thursday, the 21st, we had the pleasure of hosting our seniors, with special guests from PAL joining us to make the event even more memorable. The following day, Friday the 22nd, our students enjoyed a fun-filled bingo session paired with a delicious hot meal. We’re grateful for these moments of community. What are you thankful for?
Thanksgiving Story Time
The Flagler County Public Library visited the G.W. Carver Center on Nov. 26th with a Thanksgiving-themed storytime, face painting, a craft, and festive fun. It was such a great success that it brought out many children with their favorite adults.
