Bothwell Buzz
October 24, 2024
Dear Bothwell Families,
We had a fun week celebrating Celina Homecoming. Check out our Bothwell Facebook for pictures. We hope to see you at the Community Pep Rally, Homecoming Parade and Varsity Football Game.
Report cards are live in Skyward. You can access it by going to the Family Access (in the drop down menu under the house) and clicking on the Portfolio tile. Please reach out to your homeroom teacher if you have any questions.
We need your help! Each year, the Celina ISD 5th graders go to Camp Allaso in Hawkins, Texas as part of the science standards. We want every child to get the opportunity to attend, and we do not want the financial commitment to hold them back. We have a three students that could benefit from a partial or full scholarship. The camp, charter bus and food equals $290 per student. If you or your company feels led to sponsor one of our students, we would be so grateful for your generosity. Please email me, and I can share the next steps.
We have been able to increase our number of people opening car doors with the help of our outstanding House Ambassadors. A good amount of cars are not pulling into the parking lot until 7:42. If you are entering the parking lot after 7:42, your child will most likely be tardy. The tardy bell rings at 7:45 which means your child should be in their classroom ready for the day. Starting on Monday, if you pull in the parking lot after 7:45, we are going to ask you to park your vehicle and walk your child into the building. Thank you for your help in getting our students to campus on time!
Next, week is Red Ribbon Week. On Tuesday, we are going to have our third house meeting and we are encouraging the students and teachers to wear their house colors on TUESDAY. On Thursday, students can wear costumes to school. Here are some tips to help costume day be successful:
- Masks, small accessories and toys that look like weapons need to be kept at home.
- Inflatable costumes will not be allowed on campus.
- Face paint accents will be allowed, but full coverage face paint will not be allowed.
Happy Homecoming!
