Tomorrow's Jean Day
10.4.22
October's jean day is going to a special cause! Jean day for junior and senior high school students is $3 and free for elementary students, but any extra donations will gladly be accepted!
On October 13th, Aquin will take on the Pearl City Wolves in volleyball on the night in which they will be honoring Janet Rauch (pictured below in bright pink). Janet is a long time, dear friend of Mrs. Tia Heimerdinger and her family, and she is a 6th grade teacher with the Pearl City School District, where her two young daughters also attend.
Janet was diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of last school year and has been working through her chemotherapy treatments. She has just recently started losing her hair but is still wearing her big, contagious smile! It is Mrs. Heimerdinger's hope that our Aquin community can also rally around and support her that evening in Pearl City!
Money collected tomorrow for jeans day will be used to purchase gift cards for groceries and local restaurants to use when Janet is unable to cook dinner for the family along with any other needs the family may have. The volleyball team will wear the Faith Over Fear shirts during warm-ups, which Heimerdinger family has purchased for them, and will present her a large card with the donations and gift cards we are able to collect! As a teacher, it is hard for us to accept the help from others, but there is no time than ever to show this family how our Aquin community can support those around us!
Help us bless The Rauch Family!
