Dear Brahma Family,

Week 18 is here—the final week of the first semester and Finals Week!

Final exams begin on Tuesday with zero-period finals. Students who do not have a zero-period class will start school at 10:48 a.m. with their third-period final. Brunch will be available at 10:30 a.m. Be sure to leave earlier than usual to avoid any risk of being late, and take advantage of Brunch to enjoy a quick snack before your exam. (See the Final Examination Schedule below for details.)

Please note: There is not a Wednesday late start this week due to finals. On Wednesday, the first-period final will begin at 8:30 a.m. (7:55 for AP science classes), and school will dismiss at 12:48 p.m. on both Wednesday and Thursday.

In the interest of saving time, money and resources, DBHS grade reporting is going 100% digital. Printed reported cards will not be sent. You can continue to view both your progress report grades, as well as your semester grades, in Aeries Portal. Once you log in, click on GRADES in the left column. Fall Semester grades will be posted in Aeries Portal January 9, 2025.

Walnut Valley Unified School District families may self-refer to Hazel Health for mental health support for anxiety surrounding the college application process, and for families needing support over Winter Break. This service is available year round.

Brahma Foundation will be hosting our very first fashion show, Brahma Fashion Walk, on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025.

Brahma Fashion Walk is a community-based fundraiser hosted by Brahma Foundation with collaboration from various DBHS programs. The fashion show fundraiser will be raising funds for capital improvement that will benefit numerous programs around the school.

In addition to the free makeup and modeling lessons from industry professionals and the opportunity to represent DBHS, the models will receive more than 15 volunteering hours, and a surprise gift. The prom dress models will get to keep their shoes from the show.

On the casting day, please arrive 10 minutes early to check in at the registration table to receive your call number. Please bring a pair of high heels to walk in if interested in auditioning as one of 9 prom dress models. Please prepare to slate (name, graduating class, DBHS program/team/club you’re part of) then walk across the room when directed. Photographs and videos will be taken during the casting to aid the selection process.
