Haslett Public Schools is excited to welcome all of our students back to school on Wednesday morning (8/21). Our administrators and district staff have been preparing to ensure a safe and smooth transition into the 2024-25 school year.

Positive, meaningful relationships between students and their teachers are the foundation of our district. Our staff strives to build partnerships with families and deliver an A+ educational experience for all students. All of us at Haslett Public Schools want you to know we appeciate the generous support of our families and are looking forward to an amazing year with you.

During the 2022-2023 school year, a committee was put together to look at inclusive playground equipment to be installed at all three elementary schools; Murphy Elementary, Ralya Elementary and Wilkshire Early Childhood Center. The committee looked at various inclusive playground equipment configurations that were accessible and appealing, where children of all abilities felt welcomed and could play together. Our district is excited to announce that installation of the new inclusive playground equipment was completed in July. We hope to see the students enjoying these new structures very soon.

As we gear up for the upcoming school year, we're excited to announce that lunch will be provided free of charge to all students again for the 2024-25 school year. This initiative aims to ensure that every student has access to a nutritious meal without any financial burden.

While lunch is now universally available, we want to emphasize the importance of completing the Education Benefits Form. This form plays a crucial role in identifying students who may be eligible for additional services or programs beyond free lunch. These include, but are not limited to, Food Support, Field Trip Support, School Supplies, Althletic Support, and Holiday Support.

By completing the Education Benefits Form, you not only help us understand who qualifies for these valuable resources but also ensure that eligible students can access the support they need throughout the school year. Your participation is essential in enabling us to provide a holistic approach to student welfare and academic success.

We are excited to install new HVAC units at three of our buildings. These units provide heating and air conditioning to parts of our buildings, are replacing existing infrastructure, and will provide better climate control for the areas they serve.
