Principals Message
Dear WRCS Families,
As we conclude another incredible school year, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation for your unwavering support and partnership. Your dedication to your children's education and our school community has been invaluable, and we couldn't have achieved so much without you.
The month of June brings with it lots of exciting happenings around school. We have many field trips on the go, track and field (gr 4-6), Indigenous People’s Day, Provincial Achievement Tests (grade 6 science and social), Kindergarten Grad, Grade 8 Farewell, and classroom celebrations, just to name a few. In addition, with the beautiful weather, we jump at opportunities to take our learning outdoors.
Report cards will be sent home on the final day of school, June 26th. Inside each report card, students returning to WRCS will find a postcard detailing their child's teacher for the upcoming school year. This should help your family prepare and look forward to the exciting adventures that the next grade will bring.
To our families transitioning to Harry Balfour School, we wish you wonderful transition to their gorgeous new building, filled with excellent educators. It is our sincerest hope that your child(ren) find success and happiness in their new school, and please know that you will always be a part of the WRCS family.
We are excited to announce that we will be once again hosting an Open House BBQ on August 29th. This event is a fantastic opportunity to reconnect after the summer break, meet your children's teachers, and celebrate the start of a new academic year. We look forward to seeing you all there!
