Hello from the Front Desk!

Wow, what an amazing morning we had here at school! So fun to watch all of the students show their grandparents and/or special friends around school and have a cookie. A huge thank you to the PTA, Mrs Baker, and all of the other staff and volunteers who made this special day happen!

Some fantastic news...we have heard that Roya has been up and walking around. It sounds like her body is liking her new heart!

Tracy Thompson will be on vacation next week. Brianna Solberg will be running the office in the smooth fashion she always does when Tracy is gone. If you email Tracy, please note that her response may take a little longer, especially with Kindergarten Meet & Greet preparations.

Order forms went home last month with students. You can view the digital copy HERE.
Ordering online prevents lost order forms! Plus there are more options available online!
Order Deadline is March 8.
Standard softcover yearbooks are $20. You can upgrade to a hardcover for $5 more.
Check should be made payable to LESTER PARK SCHOOL
Yearbooks will be distributed after Memorial Day. A limited number of extra yearbooks will be available at this time on a "first come, first served" basis, and sometimes sell out.

2024 Student ART SHOW Happening NOW!

The 2024 Duluth Public Schools Student Art Exhibition is happening NOW, and we have 10 masterpieces from our students at the show!

The show is back at the Miller Hill Mall and runs from March 4-10! The Closing Reception is from 3:30-5:30pm this Sunday, March 10. So head out to the mall by Sunday afternoon to see artistic talent from students all across the the Duluth School District!

"Go Green" Day is Thursday, March 14!

Go Green Day is an event organized by the Lester Park PTA Wellness Council. It is a day to focus on healthy foods, lifestyle and environment. Be sure to wear GREEN to celebrate!

BINGO cards for this event were sent home with students this week.

Let's Raise Another TON!

The 17th Annual Lester Park March Food Drive is underway! Thank you to everyone who has sent in donations so far!

We will be collecting non-perishable food and money for the Union Gospel Mission in Duluth through March 28. Any money donations will be credited to your child's classroom total ($1.00 = 1 pound).

All classes will have a popsicle celebration provided by the Lester Park School Foundation to show our appreciation of their efforts.

Additionally, the top 3 classes with the most "weight" of food and money donations will be celebrated. 1st place class gets to choose between our three options, then 2nd place class will choose. The 3 options are: pizza from Sammy's Pizza, 30 minutes of extra recess and a cookie celebration.

Items expired up to 1 year are now accepted.
