Weekly Inspiration
Enjoy this message from Kobe Bryant about how his discipline and work on the fundamentals helped him achieve his goal. I think professionally, we can all learn from what Kobe did to become great.
We can study "the game" (whatever that is defined as for you) and use the world as our library to learn and grow. We can focus on our strengths and weaknesses, and create a menu of how to get better. We can choose to view losing as exciting because we now have ways to get better, and we can be brave enough to face where we need to improve.
I hope you get inspired watching this as much as I did.
Rest at the End, Not in the Middle
The long stretch of February has passed and we are two short weeks away from Spring Break, but don't stop pushing, stretching, inspiring and teaching your students. As one of Kobe Bryant's teachers said, "rest at the end, not in the middle." Our opportunity to reach our students is short so it's not time to rest yet - now is the time to continue connecting, mentoring, and inspiring.
According to Kobe, "The definition of greatness is to inspire the people sitting next to you." Let's go and be great today - for yourself, your students, your collegues, and your family.

Being a teacher is not just a profession or WHAT you do - it's a calling that requires passion, dedication, empathy, and a commitment to making a positive impace on the lives of others. So the next time someone asks you what do you do, please tell them truth and don't sell yourselves short.
Thank you for all that you do for our students, staff, community, and each other!
