A Message from Your Principal
Eagles, Thank you for an amazing first 2 days back. It was such a pleasure to see new and returning faces on campus.
Here are a few reminders as we look forward to our first full week Together:
- LATE START: Next week includes our first late start day. Remember that on Wednesdays, school begins at 9:40 am, with breakfast available starting at 9:20 am.
- STUDENT PLANNERS: During program verification, each student received a student planner. Please bring this with you every day. Not only is it a great resource with school information, it also is a great tool to keep track of important events and schoolwork.
- OTHER THINGS TO HAVE HANDY: Be sure to bring your fully charged Chromebook each day (bringing the charger just in case is smart), your School ID, and your positive mindset : )
- EXPECTED STUDENT BEHAVIORS: Included in your planner and in our Student Handbook, are expected student behaviors including the FAQs about dress code, attendance/tardies, electronics and Academic Honesty. Take the time to review these and familiarize yourself with the rules and consequences. Your teachers will be spending some time reviewing these next week so don't forget to planners.
- GET INVOLVED: There are so many programs, clubs, and athletics available to you at Glenn. On August 27th, we will be hosting a lunchtime "Club Rush" to highlight them but you don't have to wait to start exploring which one is right for you. Years from now, the things that you remember the most from your high school experience will be the friends you make, the accomplishments you realized, and the new activities, sports, and programs you were part of. Don't be afraid to sign up and show up for a sport, club, or program.
Wishing you all a restful weekend and looking forward to this school year, Eagles.
Sincerely,
Dr. Padilla
Principal

ATHLETICS
Student Athlete Profile: Erin Perez-Sicre 12th Grade
How long have you been playing volleyball?
I just recently started playing seriously since this past summer, but I played a little my freshman year. As a matter of fact we just had our first game last Tuesday and we won !
What is your favorite volleyball memory?
My first time playing in a full game. I’m a 12th grader, its my last year and I want to make this year memorable
What are your plans after high school?
I plan on going to school to become a pharmacy technician or perhaps an ultrasound technician. I haven’t really decided, just yet.
Who is your favorite teacher?
It would be Ms. Garcia for the health and fitness management class I took. I got a lot of certifications and it got me started thinking about the medical profession. Plus Ms. Garcia was a great teacher, she broke things down really well for us.
