Message from the Principal
Dear Kennedy High School Families and Community,
On behalf of the entire Kennedy High School faculty and staff, I would like to extend a warm welcome back to school as we embark on the second semester of the 2024-25 academic year.
The start of a new semester often presents a valuable opportunity for our students to refresh their focus and set new academic goals. I encourage you to partner with your child to identify areas of strength and areas where they can improve. Creating a dedicated study space at home can significantly enhance your child's concentration. A quiet and organized environment can make a big difference. Consistent study habits are also crucial for academic success. Even short, regular study sessions are more effective than infrequent long ones. Staying involved in your child's education is vital. Monitor their progress, attend school events, and maintain open communication with their teachers.
The registration process for the 2025-26 school year begins this month. Please stay tuned for important information and deadlines.
On Friday, January 10th, we're thrilled to welcome our future Fighting Irish! Eighth graders from Walker Junior High School are invited to join us for the "Walk from Walker" event. This is a fantastic opportunity for them to explore Kennedy's amazing programs, discover exclusive opportunities, and visit exciting elective classrooms.
Mark your calendars for our inaugural Kennedy Expo! This community-wide event will take place on January 22nd from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. All are welcome, including current and future Fighting Irish. Come witness incredible student performances, captivating exhibits, and engaging demonstrations that showcase Kennedy High School's legacy of success. We can't wait to see you there!

Wednesday will see the Varsity Boys' Soccer team take on Calvary Chapel HS at home at 3:00 PM, followed by the Varsity Wrestling teams competing away at Ocean View HS at 5:00 PM, and the Varsity Boys' Basketball team facing Ocean View at home at 6:15 PM. On Thursday, the Varsity Girls' Soccer team will travel to Buena Park HS for a 3:00 PM match, while the Varsity Girls' Basketball team will host Santa Ana HS at 6:15 PM. Friday will see the Varsity Girls' Water Polo team compete in a tournament at Western HS (time TBD), and the Varsity Boys' Soccer team will play away at Ocean View HS at 4:45 PM. Finally, on Saturday, the Varsity Girls' Water Polo team will continue their tournament at Western HS (time TBD), and the Varsity Girls' Basketball team will travel to Segerstrom HS for a 12:00 PM game.
We are excited to make the second semester of the 2024-25 school year an incredible success for all our students.
