Mission Statement
Josefa L. Sambrano Elementary School will go beyond excellence by providing a nurturing learning environment that provides a solid foundation and instills a desire to be lifelong learners both academically and socially. In all that we do and all that we teach, we will provide education at an exemplary level.

Vision Statement
Our students will be academically and socially developed citizens who are evolving in an innovative curriculum that meets the diverse needs of all students and equips them to be positive and contributing members of society.

School is almost out for this year but we are not finished yet!😄

Dismissal Bell - 4:05 PM

Tardy arrivals or early pick-ups may make a student ineligible for 'perfect attendance' recognition for that 9-week grading period, but can still qualify for 'faithful attendance' if they have no absences.

PARENTS, did you know we get less money from the state when our students are absent? Texas is one of the few states that funds its schools using average daily attendance. Please help us with our attendance rate by sending your child to school every day, all day. Thank you!

Sambrano Elementary students participated in a kid safe initiative presentation from Ms. Gina and Passenger Safety. Our Wildcats learned about being a safe passenger while riding in a vehicle.🚗

May 2 - Title I Evaluation Meeting for Parents @ Sambrano (9 AM)

May 5 - STUDENTS COME TO SCHOOL (make-up day for inclement weather from January 8)

May 7 - Mission: Progressing Together Parent Meeting @ Central Office (8:30 & 9:30 AM)

May 7 - 2nd graders attend the Pathway of Champions ceremony @ SEHS

May 7 - Last day of Folklórico practices

May 8 - AR field trip

May 9 - Special Event for dads/dad figures during student PE times

May 14 - Board Meeting @ Central office (5:30 PM)

May 16 - Field Day for students during PE times (PBIS end of year event)

May 27 - End of Year Awards Ceremony for Kinder classes (9 AM monolingual, 2 PM dual language)

May 28 - End of Year Awards Ceremony for 1st grade classes (2 PM)

May 29 - End of Year Awards Ceremony for 2nd grade classes (8:30 AM)
