Hi Everyone,


Thank you so much for your support during our closure on Wednesday. The number of kind emails that came through was overwhelming (in a good way!).


We're gearing up for the holiday and winter seasons at school, and we have many things going on: the craft fair, poinsettia sale, ski and ride program, food drive, and candy drive. Please be sure to read the whole newsletter to find important information.


Report cards will also be coming out this month just before parent-teacher conferences. Teachers should be reaching out, if they haven't already, to schedule a conference with you if you would like to meet.


As always, I look forward to answering any questions you might have.

Food Donations: 11/1 -11/18

Picture Re-Takes: 11/10/2022


Trimester 1 Ends On: 11/11, and report cards will be finalized shortly after that date.


No School: 11/21-11/25


Craft Fair: The first weekend in December


Scholastic Book Fair: Finalizing dates this week. It will be right around the time of the craft fair.

Ways to Communicate Information

We have had a lot of success with our Google Form for attendance, and we also have a lot of families who still email with attendance and other questions. With staff absences, it can cause emails to get lost or not forwarded.


We have created the following email wildcats@gisu.org which will be monitored by more than one person.


Use this email for:

  • Bus information
  • Late or early arrivals
  • Forgotten jackets or other gear
  • Absences
  • School related questions
  • Etc.

Our Grand Isle School Store
The PTA has worked with a vendor to provide us with a school store so that families can order Grand Isle School gear!

Lost and Found

We have a large collection of sweatshirts, pants, shirts, jackets, water bottles, and some lunch boxes. If you're coming into school for pickup or drop-off, please swing by and see if anything belongs to your kiddo!
