Strategic Change
The district is planning for the future and you can help!
Join us in shaping the future of North Shore School District 112 through our strategic change process, in partnership with the Schlechty Center. This initiative aims to address current challenges and prepare for the future by aligning our district's objectives with community insights. You can learn more in a letter Dr. Lubelfeld and Dr. Schroeder sent to the community in July.
We are seeking participants for two key groups (you are only able to participate in one of the groups):
Discovery Team
- Three Meetings: September 5-6 and December 12, 2024, 8:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.
- Assess how our district can grow and improve as a learning organization
Extended Discovery Teams (Focus Groups)
- One Meeting: October 29-30, 2024, consisting of a 45-minute session
- The extended discovery session aims to deepen our understanding of the issues identified in the September discovery team sessions.

ReferralGPS
ReferralGPS is a web-based service focused on assisting our students, staff and community in finding local mental-health and substance use related treatment. The service complements the district's existing systems of support as a tool for student service teams and families to connect with treatment. Along with a searchable database of treatment options, ReferralGPS provides Care Navigation to assist families in triage, appointment setting, and follow up care.
School families may access ReferralGPS in two ways:
- Contact our Student Services (social workers, psychologists, counselors)
- Visit https://referralgps.com/find-help/NSSD112 to search for treatment resources
Safe2Help Illinois
Safe2Help offers students a safe, confidential way in which to share information that might help prevent suicides, bullying, school violence or other threats to school safety. It is available 24/7 and offers students a safe outlet to share information on school safety issues in a confidential environment.
