The Winter Writing Assessment for Grades 4th, 5th and 6th grades will take place February 11th-13th. Students will be taking this assessment online.

Gemini was so glad to be able to celebrate and appreciate Mrs. Yarnell for National School Counselor Appreciation Week. We are proud to recognize her for all the hard work and the important role she plays in helping students meet the challenges both academically and emotionally here at Gemini. She is a true asset to our team.

Wow, so much fun. Gemini JetStars showed off their amazing talents during our STEM Lego Building Competition on Friday, January 31st. We definitely see some future engineers here!

Friendship Club is kicking off our second annual Adopt-a-Grandparent event, with the help of our incredible community partner. We will be filling Valentine's Day gift bags and making cards for residents of several area nursing homes.

While Friendship Club is full (we are accepting students for the wait list), if your student is interested in helping make Valentines for this initiative please contact Chelsea Hansen at drchelseahansen@gmail.com. We are hoping to collect as many cards as possible. Thank you for your support!

Gemini will be holding it's Annual Special Person's Day on Friday, February 14th. Your child's special guest can sign up to come in and visit the classroom from 8:30 am - 9:30 am. Classroom visits will be from 8:30-9:30 and then a sweet treat will be provided in Center Court afterwards. Please click on the link below to sign up to attend this event. Gemini is excited to announce its first STEM night on February 25th from 5-6:30 PM. Please click on the RSVP link on the attached PDF flyer (below) in order to register for this event. The Orlando Science Center will be here to host various STEM stations that you and your child will be able to navigate through on STEM night. There will also be food trucks and Kona Ice available for purchase over at Flutie Field before and after the event. We look forward to seeing you at STEM night! Don't forget to RSVP!

Beginning Monday, August 26th, there will be one day a week that parents can sign up, in advance. Please include your child in the number of people you are signing up. • Parents must be on time for their child’s scheduled lunch time. • Parents must communicate with their child’s teacher that they will be coming to lunch on that day. • Parents must sign in at the front office and will be escorted to Center Court and supervised if they are not a registered volunteer. Registered volunteers do not need to be escorted or supervised during their lunch in Center Court. • Parents may only have lunch with their child. • We strongly suggest that younger siblings stay home as we will have limited seating available. • Please be mindful of time, your child will need to report back to the cafeteria before the end of their lunch period. Parents will sign out in the front office.
