Happy Friday! We hope you had a great week. Lots of great things happening at TC. If you haven't done so already, parents/caregivers take a moment to complete the Needs Assessment from Mrs. W for your students' chance to be entered into a raffle.
This week's background features our K-3 students enjoying some library time as well as our 8th grades doing some collaborative math work!
As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or compliments, please reach out to Mr. Fineberg, our principal, at efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us.
Principal's Message...
This past week, Tustin Connect was featured in last Saturday's This Week in TUSD video. At :50 into the video, they showcased the college exploration lesson Mrs. W did with the 8th graders. Mrs. Romberger was also featured in the TUSD Bright Spots: Collaborative Partnerships Video for her work with professional development. Super Cool. You can see Mrs. Romberger at 1:40 in the video.
I'm excited to share a great internship opportunity for our rising 9th to 12th graders. The Tustin Public Schools Foundation offers a tremendous Intern Opportunity every summer. Tustin Connect Students have had a history of serving as an intern and I would love to see that tradition continue. Students need only apply using this application link to have the opportunity to interview for one of the spots. Interns will work in one of the 70+ classes offerred at the Tustin Summer Academy. The commitment is for 16 days over 4 weeks for 5 hours each day. Please check out the flyer for more details. A fun fact, Mr. Fineberg started the Academy 14 years ago and continues to run it. So you'll have an in if you apply. 😀
As a reminder, our Middle School GUITAR CLASS begins this Monday for all 6-8th graders from 8:30-9:30. All students will be able to take home a guitar, music, and of course receive weekly instruction. Be sure to complete the survey to reserve your spot. We will be offering a similar guitar class at the high school Quarter 4 as well that will count toward students' VAPA requirement. Big thank you to our School Site Council for their support of this opportunity.
If you have any questions, compliments, ideas, and/or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out at (714) 430-2052 ext. 52103 or efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us.

PTA Round Up
Hello Tustin Connect Family -
As we enter into 2025, we are starting to plan our PTA team for the 25/26 school year. We have multiple positions available within the PTA that require very little time and commitment. Since we are a smaller school, our events and time requirements are minimal, but so important to our school.
Having a PTA enables our school to receive the support needed to provide students and staff with events, trips, graduations, and so much more. Most importantly, it only exists with our help.
TC PTA would greatly appreciate your assistance. If you are interested in learning more about the available positions, please email me or contact me at 949-521-2364.
Thank you all for you support. Have a terrific week.
Amber
