DSHS CHOIR ADVANCES 10 STUDENTS TO AREA
The Dripping Springs High School choir program advanced 10 students to the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Area E auditions on Saturday, Nov. 16 after placing in the top five of their respective voice parts at the Pre-Area Choir auditions at Anderson High School.
Ava Azua (Soprano 1), Isabella Eleazar (Alto 1) and Emiliano Arroyo Corona (Tenor 1) placed first in their voice part to highlight the competition. With 10 area qualifiers, Dripping Springs comprises 25% of the Region 18 students who are advancing to the area round.
Area E Choir auditions will be held Saturday, Jan. 11 at Reagan High School in San Antonio. The top five in each voice part will be named to one of the TMEA All-State Choirs, and perform at the TMEA Convention on Saturday, Feb 15 in San Antonio.

TIGER FOOTBALL FACES HARLAN IN AREA PLAYOFFS
The Tiger Football team faces San Antonio Harlan in the area playoffs on Friday, Nov. 22 at 7:30 PM at Canyon High School's Cougar Stadium in New Braunfels. Gold Tiger cards will be accepted at the gate. Tickets are available here.
DSEF WEEK BEGINS DECEMBER 2
Dripping Springs Education Foundation (DSEF) Week is December 2 - December 6. This special week highlights how DSEF supports Dripping Springs ISD schools through innovative teaching grants, mental health initiatives, and much more. The Foundation’s efforts empower students, teachers and staff to achieve their best. We encourage you to learn more about DSEF’s programs and explore how you can get involved. Together, we can continue making a lasting impact on our students’ futures!
During DSEF Week, a number of Dripping Springs area restaurants (see image) will donate a portion of their proceeds to DSEF. You can also donate at dseducationfoundation.org.
TOYS FOR TOTS DRIVE ENDS DECEMBER 1
The Dripping Springs High School JROTC is partnering with Toys for Tots and the Marine Corps to help raise toys and money for Austin area children! You can drop off a new, unwrapped toy at any of the locations above December 1! Donations can also be made at austin-tx.toysfortots.org.
