ATTENDANCE NOTIFICATIONS
Recently, you may have received an attendance notification letter from CHS to update you and your student's attendance for the 2023-24 school year. These letters will be sent to any family with a student that has accumulated 15 or more unexcused absences and/or 12 or more total absences (unexcused/excused). This is a gentle reminder that your student’s attendance should be a priority as we work to finish out the school year strong. If you have already been in touch with the school or your student’s grade level administrator regarding their absences, please do not feel the obligation to reach out after you receive this letter.
If you have received one of these notifications and contacted CHS, we apologize for any confusion the letter may have caused. We are currently using a new system and are quickly seeing some items that need to be corrected or adjusted. Thank you for your patience as we work with this new system.
In an effort to encourage students to attend daily, we will be completing a weekly drawing for any student that has perfect attendance each week for the remainder of the school year. If a student’s name is drawn, they will have an opportunity to receive a special prize.

SENIOR AWARDS
The CHS Class of 2024 Senior Awards Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 10 from 10:00 - 11:30 pm in the CHS Auditorium.
We understand that parking on campus for this event will be extremely difficult, so we are pleased to announce that VASAP, Horne Funeral Home, and the Holy Spirit Catholic Church have given permission for us to utilize their parking lots during the time of the ceremony.
We will send out additional communications about where to enter the building and parking directions as we get closer to the time of the event.
GRADUATION UPDATE
The date of graduation will be on Saturday, May 18 at 11:30 am. We realize the change in venue is a shift from our normal graduation practices, but due to our current status at CHS, this will allow us to have unlimited admittance of family members and friends for our graduates, significant parking opportunities, and a space that will not be affected by the change if inclement weather should arise.
In the coming weeks, we will provide additional specific details related to the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2024. We understand there will be questions related to the venue and the day of the ceremony. We will work to adequately answer those questions and ensure we have a positive, impactful, and celebratory day for the Class of 2024!
Please reference the attached "Senior Letter" for important information regarding the Senior Awards Ceremony, Senior Fun Day, Graduation Dress Expectations, and other items.
