Dearest League of Chapters and Chapter Executive Committees:
The National Leadership Council (Hội Đồng Lãnh Đạo) has established the first Sunday of October each year as the VEYM’s National Day of Prayer. This year, our National Day of Prayer will fall on October 6th, 2019. With October also as the month of the Holy Rosary, the National Executive Committee (Ban Chấp Hành Trung Ương) invites all members of the Movement to pray and recite the Rosary often and actively participate in this year’s Spiritual Bouquet to love and honor Mary, for through Mary, we may receive Her Son in the most perfect way.
The Rosary, a simple yet invaluable prayer, familiar but full of appeal. The history of the Church has proven its mystical power of the Rosary. Through centuries, many Papacies have taught and encouraged devotion to the Rosary. Most notably, Pope Pius IX through his intense effort to promote devotion to the Rosary through granting many apostolic indulgences for those who are faithful to praying the Rosary in October. On the 13th of October, Mary roclaimed “I am the Mother of the Rosary”, since then, October has become the month of the
Rosary.
The Spiritual Bouquet Campaign will begin on October the 6th, VEYM’s National Day of Prayer, through the 31st. All Youth Leaders are invited to print the attached prayer worksheets and disseminate to all members accordingly. Please review the guideline thoroughly and articulate to youth members clearly. While the Spiritual Bouquet only emphasize participation from Seedling (Ấu Nhi), Search (Thiếu Nhi), Companion (Nghĩa Sĩ), Knights (Hiệp Sĩ), and Youth Leaders (Huynh Trưởng) within each Chapter, all Lay Chaplain Assistants (Trợ Tá) are also invited to partake in the Spiritual Bouquet via self-directed recitation of the Rosary weekly.
Jesus has taught us, “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” Matthew 18:20. In the same manner, the Spiritual Bouquet approach this year will invite members to pray together with partners. In praying with one another, we may grow in a deeper connection with each other and enter a more intimate relationship with Jesus.
It is with profound hope that all League of Chapters and Chapter Executive Committee members motivate and remind all members to take part in the Spiritual Bouquet Campaign.
