We hope to see you there but if you are not able to attend you can attend virtually through a Google Meet. The Link will be shared before the meeting.
School Council
Please consider being part of the continuous effort to improve our school. Community input is needed in determining the direction of education for our young people. We are in need of parent volunteers for our RLM School Council this year. If you have a child at the school and would like to serve as a representative on the council, please contact us at mchmielinski@wbridgewater.com. Meetings generally last an hour or less and take place after school. It is a good way to be involved in the improvement of our school.
PASSION
At RLM School, we believe that developing students' social-emotional skills is just as important as their academic growth. This September, we’ve focused on the theme of PASSION to help students connect with what excites them and motivates their learning. Through classroom discussions, students explored the meaning of passion, reflecting on how their unique interests can drive them to achieve their goals.
Each day during morning announcements, several students shared their personal definitions of passion, spoke about what they are passionate about, or explained how their passions help them in their daily lives. These conversations have fostered a sense of belonging and excitement in our community as students learn more about themselves and each other.
By focusing on SEL, we are equipping students with the tools they need to manage emotions, build positive relationships, and set meaningful goals—skills that will serve them well both inside and outside the classroom. Stay tuned for more updates on our ongoing SEL initiatives, as we continue to nurture our students' emotional and social well-being.
Fall Reading Challenge
Join us for our first seasonal reading incentive program—Falling for Reading. This reading challenge is designed to promote the enjoyment of reading and encourage daily practice. You can help your child benefit from this program by setting aside some time each day for reading. Information and reading leaves went home with students on Tuesday. We would like to see every RLM kiddo return at least one reading leaf to school each day to show us that they are reading and practicing at home. Our reading bulletin boards are currently being built to display our readers’ hard work. We hope to build a forest of trees! Follow Mrs. Enos on Facebook at "Reading at RLM with Mrs. Enos" for updates and pictures.
Learning is fun at RLM!
Wildcat Cafe
Recognizing National School Lunch Week, October 14-18.
Learning is tough work—and kids need fuel if they’re going to learn! That’s why a healthy midday meal is crucial to the growing children who go to school. Since 1962, when President John F. Kennedy created National School Lunch Week (NSLW), this annual observance has promoted the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and the impact it has both in and out of the classroom. Today, the National School Lunch Program serves nearly 30 million children every school day. Not only does it reduce childhood hunger, but it also supports American agriculture. We hope your student chooses to participate!
Look for special activities in the cafeteria that week!
Farm to School! We are partnering again this year with C.N. Smith Farm, Langwater Farm, and Vineyard Farm to provide fresh and local fruits and vegetables for our school meals and at test testing events in the cafeteria. The list includes local corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, melons, potatoes, red and yellow beets, lettuce, carrots, and of course several varieties of apples! The RLM school garden harvested butternut squash to be served district-wide!
Monthly Menus - Click on WB Food Services to find October's lunch and breakfast menus. Both meals are free to all students!
Field Trip Lunches- Interested in saving time and money? Let your student's School Nutrition Staff pack a lunch for any upcoming field trips. It's free! Order forms (or links to a Google Form) are typically sent to parents/guardians.
Food Assistance- Project Bread Food Source Hotline , West Bridgewater Food Pantry.
Positions available- Great at social media and interested in food photography? There is a stipend available for an individual to promote our School Nutrition program on social media. Hours are very flexible and variable but the applicant will need to be available during the day.
We are also looking for cafeteria substitutes!
