Congrats to Gunnar Hansen! Gunnar just returned from the USA Swimming National Select Camp in Colorado Springs, where he joined 52 of the nation’s top swimmers. This camp focused on leadership, education, and excellence both in and out of the pool.

Senior Sarah Spallholz earned the rank of Eagle Scout in November after completing a project honoring the brave men and women who serve our country. A member of Troop 157 since 2019, Sarah’s hard work and dedication led to this incredible achievement.

Senior Vincent Trujillo, who has been active in track, cross country, ROTC, and now drill team and fire academy, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout! For his project, Vincent remodeled the children’s section at Idalou Church of Christ, repairing cracks, painting, and decorating classrooms and hallways. We are so proud of his hard work and dedication!

Happy Year of the Snake to all who celebrate! Ms. Xie's year 1 and year 2 classes have been put in charge this year of Lunar New Year. Get ready for all things food, games and fun! There will be delicious authentic Mandarin food, Mahjong, Karaoke, Music, Dancing and a Giant Panda! All the money that is received goes back into the Mandarin Program to buy next years school supplies. Tickets are 5 dollars online and 10 dollars at the door, everyone is welcome to come! Lubbock High Juniors,

LISD and South Plains College partner together to offer our students the opportunity to enroll in Fire Academy senior year.
Only current juniors, (incoming seniors), can apply to participate in this selective program.
This program requires 4 periods in your schedule, travel to the SPC campus, and passing of both the TSI and a physical agility test.

Captain Phillip Grandon with the Lubbock Fire Department would like to meet with interested students. Captain Grandon will be in the Lubbock High counseling office on Tuesday, January 21st during B Lunch. (12:50-1:20).
