Principal's Message
Dear Allenwood Families,
I am pleased to share some outstanding news about our students' academic progress and provide updates on upcoming events. Our latest iReady scores are in, and I am proud to announce that Allenwood students have made significant gains from the Beginning of the Year (BOY) to the Middle of the Year (MOY) assessments. Here is a snapshot of our progress:
Reading:
- The percentage of students reading on or above grade level increased from 48% to 75%.
- The percentage of students reading below grade level decreased from 52% to 25%.
Math:
- The percentage of students performing on or above grade level increased from 32% to 68%.
- The percentage of students performing below grade level decreased from 68% to 32%.
These achievements reflect the hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the unwavering support from our families. Thank you for playing an essential role in our school’s success!

Lastly, my monthly Birthday BINGO has been transformed into Mr. Sterenczak’s Birthday Bonanza! Instead of playing BINGO, students celebrating a birthday that month will enjoy a variety of fun games with the principal, including Pictionary, Charades, and more.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in making Allenwood a place where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Let’s continue working together to make this school year both memorable and successful!
Sincerely,
James Sterenczak
Principal
