Lollipops for Love

During Love week, February 10th -14th, S.P.A.R.K.S. (Olson’s Student Council) will sell blow pops for $.25 before school inside the school entrances to support the Love Week Recipient, Hope’s Door (all proceeds go directly to the organization).

Please consider supporting our library by SPONSORING A BOOK! With a $25 donation to the library, a book is purchased for our permanent collection and is inscribed with the donor’s name (student or family). They will then be the first to check the book out for 2 weeks. Please explain to your student/s that the book is a donation and will become part of the Olson Library collection for other students to check out after them. We’re so excited to welcome you and your little superhero to the "You're My Superhero" Mother-Son Dance!

Get ready for an evening of fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories. You can expect lots of cool superhero decor, music, and dancing to your favorite tunes. Photo opportunities to capture your special moments as well as light refreshments to fuel your superpowers.

Feel free to come dressed as your favorite superhero or in your favorite dance outfit—whatever makes you and your son feel like the dynamic duo you are!

Registration is limited and held on a first-come, first- serve basis. Cancellations will be accepted, and a refund will be issued as long as the cancellation is received before noon on Thursday, February 6, 2025 . Registration will close at noon on Friday, February 7th. After that you will be able to purchase tickets at the door. Each person attending must buy a ticket.

You will just check-in upon arrival at the dance. No tickets necessary. Just give your name. We will email out a reminder along with the picture order form prior to the dance.

Dear Allen Parents,

The Allen ISD Board of Trustees voted to approve the 2025-2026 Academic Calendar. The calendar was created through a collaborative process that included feedback from community members and staff via the District Improvement Plan Committee, as well as the Communications Council. Feedback was also collected from the Academic Calendar Committee, comprised of district and campus administrators, and through an online public survey available to parents and staff. Thank you to Ashley Crowson, Director of Community Services, who spearheaded this effort and chaired the Calendar Committee.

The official calendar is being shared with Allen ISD staff now, followed by Allen ISD parents and community members later today.

Highlights of the 2025-2026 Academic Calendar include:

· First Day of School: Tuesday, August 12, 2025

· Fall Break: October 13-17, 2025

· Thanksgiving Break: November 24-28, 2025

· Winter Break: December 22, 2025 - January 2, 2026

· Spring Break: March 16-20, 2026
