Chess Club
The Chess Club will begin meeting on Thursdays with the first meeting on Thursday, November 9 from 8:00 am - 8:45 am in the media center. All Fifth Grade students are invited to participate. Please contact Mr. Matt Watson (mwatson3@wcpss.net) for more information.
Lockdown Drill
During the month of November, the Wake County Public Schools security staff and local law enforcement will assist Bryan Road Elementary School with its biannual lockdown drill. Teachers and staff have received training through the school district. Once the drill takes place, notification will be shared with parents/caregivers.
NC Check-In Assessments
All Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade students will participate in formative assessments for Reading, with Fourth and Fifth Grade for Math, and Fifth Grade Science End-of-Grade Assessments during the Fall NC Check-Ins 1 administration. The NC Department of Public Instruction NC Check-Ins provide teachers with valuable information regarding student progress toward learning classroom standards and demonstrating their mastery of the content.
