Salem students were recognized for being kind at the football game last Thursday. Throughout the month students were giving kindness tickets if a teacher had seen them being kind and a few lucky students won prizes if that kindness ticket was picked. Congrats to these kind kids!!

Your participation matters!

Thursday October 31st is a day many students may choose to dress up for Halloween. Please follow the guidelines below if your student is planning on dressing up so that we can continue to make this an educational day.

Students are only allowed to wear costumes that:

• Do NOT violate the district dress code (Dress Code for your review)

• Do NOT Use masks or excessive face-paint, which are not allowed

• Do NOT Include a weapon or a facsimile of a weapon

• Do NOT discriminate against or harass other students, or that creates an intimidating, hostile, demeaning, or offensive educational environment.

If there is any student violating any of the above costume guidelines, they will be asked to change and keep their costume in the office until the end of the day.

Join the SaJHS wrestling team! This is a co-ed team for all SaJHS students to learn the basics of wrestling. The coaches are holding a parent meeting Oct. 22 at 7 in the Wrestling room. See you there!

Calling all movers and shakers! Get ready for a toe-tapping, hand-clapping, hip-swaying extravaganza at the Salem Jr Dance Camp, hosted by Salem Hills High. Join us on October 28, 29, & November 1 for a fun-filled dance experience that will have your student grooving to the beat. Taught by the incredibly talented Salem Hills Dance Company, this interactive session will teach the basics of dancing while having an absolute blast. Classes are from 4-5 pm on Mon, Tue. And the best part? Participants get to perform with us at our sensational show on November 6th at 7 pm. Plus, fees include a fantastic tee-shirt for their moment in the spotlight!
