WASB Business Honor Roll
Contact: Michael Shimshak, Iowa-Grant School District Superintendent (608) 330-1158
At its regular meeting on November 11, 2024, the Iowa-Grant School District Board of Education recognized five businesses for their contribution to, and partnership with the school district as part of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) Business Honor Roll recognition program. Superintendent Michael Shimshak cited the district’s mission statement’s first few words, In partnership with the community… and lamented that it is too bad that the district was limited to only five nominations because our list of community supporters and business partners is extensive and we appreciate all of the support. The citations for each of the recipients will now be posted on the school district and WASB website.
Community First Bank
Community First Bank has provided continuous support to our school clubs and programs year after year. This year, there was no hesitation to come forward and support a new scoreboard for our middle school gym. Additionally, the bank is a contributor to our booster club and supports our local, school agriculture programs by providing a venue for fundraising events. Community First Bank truly lives up to its name, always putting the needs of our Iowa-Grant Community First!

Royal Bank
The support we receive from Royal Bank is greatly appreciated. We are especially grateful for a generous contribution the bank made in donating a scoreboard for the middle school gym. It seems no matter what the need, Royal Bank is there to support the Iowa-Grant School District.

Clare Bank
When we needed to replace malfunctioning scoreboards in our middle school we turned to ask help from our business partners. Clare Bank immediately answered the call as one of our four local banks supporting the Iowa-Grant School District. Strong schools make strong communities and strong communities make strong schools. Supportive business partners like Clare Bank are key in contributing to both.

Compeer Financial
Compeer Financial is one of four local banks that made a generous contribution to our middle school gym by sponsoring a scoreboard replacement. For a building that is thirty years old, our middle school gym is looking brand new again thanks to the financial support of Compeer Financial.

Haase Service & Towing LLC
Haase Towing of Livingston has made numerous contributions to our schools and athletic programs. No matter what the need is, it seems our coaches, booster club, principal and activities director can depend on a supportive business partner in Hasse Towing. We are pleased to nominate Haase Towing for the WASB Business Honor Roll.
