ND Teacher of the Year
We are thrilled to announce that Mr. Kendall Bergrud, one of our exceptional educators at Wachter Middle School, has been selected as the North Dakota Teacher of the Year! We are incredibly proud of Kendall and the remarkable work he does at Wachter. His commitment to our students and community embodies the excellence we see each day at Wachter Middle School.
We are making history by having back-to-back Teachers of the Year in our halls. This is a testament to the incredible talent we have in our school.

Transportation Input Session
All community members are invited to come out and provide feedback regarding some proposed solutions to transportation challenges at Bismarck Public Schools. WMS will host a session on Oct. 3rd from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the cafetorium. We hope you can attend and provide your input. Please use Door 21 on the West side of the building.
Bus Behavior
Thank you for a fantastic start to the school year! The positive energy in our school is inspiring.
Most of our students are respectful, and we emphasize the importance of taking PRIDE in ourselves. However, we’ve noticed an increase in inappropriate behavior on the buses. Mr. Hinderer and Mrs. Edinger have reviewed bus expectations with students, but we continue to see some concerning issues.
These behaviors compromise the safety and comfort of all passengers and detract from the school experience. Riding the bus is a privilege, and misbehavior may lead to disciplinary actions, including loss of bus privileges. Please talk with your child about their behavior on the bus. Thank you for your support in maintaining a positive and safe environment for everyone
