Upcoming STAAR
Hi Coyote Families,
The spring is full of state required testing for our students. While we want our students to take them seriously and do their best, we know that these tests are only a snapshot in time and do not define the amazing humans that they are. If you have any questions about STAAR Testing, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at all.
Kindly,
Mandi Vogel
Assistant Principal
Campus Testing Coordinator

April 23rd - Math STAAR (3rd & 4th Grades)
April 24th - Math STAAR (5th Grade)
CCNA Parents and Community Members Needed
FCE is conducting a collaborative comprehensive need assessment (CCNA) in order to better understand and address students’ needs. We would like to invite you to participate in this initiative as a member of the Campus Needs Assessment Steering Committee because of your experience and expertise which will bring a needed perspective to help guide our thinking.
We have scheduled two meetings:
April 17th 4:00-5:30
April 23rd 4:00-5:30
Over the course of these meetings, we will:
1. Identify and discuss the needs of students
2. Review data and develop need statements describing the magnitude of student needs
3. Draft possible solutions for concerns
The meetings will bring together administrators and staff, parents/parent representatives, community and business leaders that address the needs of our families and youth. This group will be composed of individuals who represent the “stakeholders” of the students in our community.
You have a special opportunity to ensure that the needs of our students are identified and addressed through programming that represents the thinking from stakeholders. We look forward to working with you in this important area, and I thank you for your willingness to serve.

Disco Fever Spring Carnival Information
Mark your calendars, our Disco Fever themed Spring Carnival is fast approaching on Saturday, April 27th from 11AM-3PM. Please join us for a day of fundraising and fun for Forest Creek Elementary PTA. This is one of our BIGGEST fundraisers of the year! We look forward to this annual event to raise money to benefit our school, staff and students. Each year, our PTA provides educational programs, teacher appreciation events, campus projects, field trips for each grade level, teacher grants, our recently adopted Sister School Fund and more for our school! With your help, we hope to exceed our goal of $35,000!
We have ample entertainment lined up for the whole family! We will transform our campus into a full fledged Carnival with pony rides, face painting, a disco dance dome, 25' rock wall, a 39 animal petting zoo, Ninja Warrior Course, Metaverse Gaming truck, obstacle courses, inflatable games and challenges, a DJ, food trucks, pizza, baked goods and more! A wristband gets your student (age 3-18) access to all the games, rides and activities.
Our raffle baskets are legendary! Be on the lookout for an email from your student's homeroom parent with information on how to donate to the amazing, themed class baskets. Each class will contribute a basket to the raffle, which will then be raffled off at 2PM during Carnival. Raffle tickets are available for purchase in pre-sale bundles or individually at Carnival.
Pre-sale price: Wristband - $20 | Raffle ticket bundles - 3/$5 7/$10 15/$20

Another huge part of our fundraising efforts for this event is our Silent Auction, which is fully online. We have many great items like birthday party packages, premium memberships, teacher experiences, gift cards and spa packages up for bid! The Silent Auction goes live on 4/10 at 8AM and will run through 2PM on the day of Carnival. Stay tuned for more information! Auction items will be distributed at Carnival, once the bidding has ended. If you or your business would like to donate an item or service, please contact sponsorships@fcepta.net by 3/29.
Lastly, we need plenty of volunteers to pull this off! If you are able to volunteer for a shift during Carnival, please use this SignUp Genius for adults. If you have an older student (middle or high school) that is in need of service hours, please use this SignUp Genius for students.
We are so lucky to serve this wonderful community and incredibly thankful for your continued support of our school!
