November
Between the end of the quarter planning days, holidays, fall break and conferences, there are a lot of days without students during the month of November. We have them listed in the "Looking Ahead" section at the top of the newsletter. In addition, HERE is a link to our district calendar to help you plan.
Volunteers Needed!
We need 1-3 volunteers to help us prepare for worst case scenario emergencies by helping us with a few projects
Inventory our emergency supplies for the school
Help create a list of what we need to gather for whole school needs
Inventory individual classroom supply buckets for updates
Help create lists of what individual classrooms need
Also, if preparedness is your jam, we could use a couple of Grout community members to help keep GASP ( Grout Association of Seismic Preparedness) going. Please reach out to Beth Essex or Lisa Van Clock if you are interested in helping with specific projects or with the preparedness work overall.
Parent / Teacher Conferences
Conferences are coming up! Conferences are a great time to connect with your child's teacher and learn how your student is doing at school. Teachers will be reaching out to schedule times to meet with you. All conferences will take place in person, at Grout. However, if you are unable to attend in person, online meetings can be arranged as needed.
If you would like language interpretation during your conference, please reach out to the Grout office or your child's teacher. Also, our ELD teacher, Kristin Kjome, has been working hard to set up interpreters for our EL families.
This year, conferences will be held on Monday, November 25 and Tuesday, November 26. There will be daytime and evening conferences available. We look forward to seeing you there!
