Summer 2024 Bulldog Bulletin
Summer 2024
ONE MONTH UNTIL 2024-2025!
We are over half-way through the summer, and while you and the kids might be mourning the loss of time, I am getting more excited to start this year and dive into learning!
For your reference, next year's academic calendar (with all early dismissals, holidays, conferences, etc.), summer math and reading activities, supply lists, and health information and forms are included below.
The office at Booth Hill School is closed for the summer. Feel free to email Mrs. Marks at dmarks@sheltonpublicschools.org with your questions. If you did not get a report card for your child, you have an outstanding library book or fine. Please email Mrs. Marks to arrange to pay and pick up your report card.
Please enjoy and cherish this time with your family.

In addition to the activity calendars, students should be practicing their Math & ELA skills on IXL. Login information was sent home with hard copies of the math calendars.
Lazy and rainy summer days are also a good time to just read--fiction, nonfiction, an age-appropriate magazine, even written directions to help build something are all valuable reading resources.
Summer Learning Resources
Hard copies of all of the resources below were sent home with report cards in June. If you misplaced them, please print the reading journal (all grades) and the math activity that corresponds to your child's grade for 2024-2025.
Reading Resources
📚 From the Library: 📚
Students can visit Mrs. Yacawych's Toolkit over the summer if they want to visit some fun learning websites. You can access the Toolkit if you visit the Booth Hill School website. Click on "Library Media Center" and you will see a menu pop up with Mrs. Yacawych's Toolkit. You can also click on the link below.

One-Stop Shopping at Teacher Lists
By request, all lists are posted at Teacherlists.com. Click here to find a clickable, shoppable list.
Please note that you might get better prices elsewhere, and any brand of any item is acceptable unless noted on a list. We do not get rewards from this site. Also, it never hurts to send in a box of tissues and disinfectant wipes for teachers to keep on hand. Remember to LABEL EVERYTHING and send in your WIRED headphones in a labeled gallon Ziploc bag so that cords don't get tangled. 🙂
Printable lists are below and were sent home with report cards.
Kindergarten Information
As stated in Nurse Jess's previous communications, any medicine remaining at school after 6/16 had to be destroyed by law. There is no medicine, inhalers, epipens, etc. at school.
FOR 2024 - 2025:
Notes from our Nurse:
Please remember to obtain copies of physical forms and and medication orders (forms below) for your child from your doctor's office when they are seen. Please make a copy to have at home for camps, daycare, etc. before sending the forms into school, as I will not be able to provide copies last minute.
All in-school medications require a new doctor's order for each school year. I am attaching a link for the medication form and procedures (form below). All medications must be dropped off and picked up by an adult- they can not be transported by students. All medication must be in its original container.
You can email me at kkellogg@sheltonpublicschools.org with any questions over the summer, and I will return all messages when I am back in the office late August.
Wishing everyone a fun, healthy, and safe summer!
~Nurse Karen
