Science teachers in 6th and 8th grade will be teaching the Sexual Health Education Program at Horace Mann Middle School during the month of May 2025.

Notices will be sent home in science classes.

San Diego Unified School District’s Board of Education approved a resolution to help families understand the risks associated with social media. Information was shared with families and high school students last fall.

We are tasked to send out information to our families and students to share information about the Social Media Use, Engaging Responsibly: Family & Student Resources campaign by the end of the school year.

Below is a Toolkit that has links you can share with families or students with corresponding sample emails and slide decks along with resources for your website or newsletter.

Mann Middle School students represented well at the San Diego Regional Science Olympiad Division B Grades 6th -9th held on Saturday, February 22, at San Diego Miramar College. Way to go Cougars!

Our amazing students from the 6th and 8th grades had an incredible experience at the Science Olympiad. These students put in a lot of hard work for this event, making their science teachers, Mrs. Wadhwa and Mr. Manoury, extremely proud. A special shout-out goes to Mr. Fernandez and Ms. Haskins for attending the event, cheering on the students during the build event, and taking photographs. It’s official: we are going again with an even larger team next year! So, stay tuned!

Please read below for the office hours!

ALL students are required daily to dress for PE and fully participate in all activities unless they are medically exempted or have 504 or IEP modifications. Students should be fully dressed and on their PE numbers within the first 10 minutes of class. All students’ belongings should be left in a locked locker for the duration of the PE class. It is the responsibility of the parent/caregiver to complete the PE uniform assistance form to request support in providing their student with a uniform if they are not able to provide one. Access will be provided for completion of the form should it be necessary. Parents/Caregivers will be contacted immediately if students show up not dressed for PE.
