⭐Art Club hosted their first meeting and made original Ink drawings inspired by the global art event, Inktober. The next Art Club meeting will be on November 7th, all are welcome to attend even if the student is not enrolled in an art class. The next Art Club meeting is scheduled for November 7th. ⭐Congratulations to Collette Bergeron, Adam Cole, Peyton Herndon, Keilani Johnson, Alivia Jones, Kyle Meeus Chase, Jayden Torres, Addie Wehling, and Lyric Whorton, for being selected to the Central Oklahoma Choral Directors Association Jr. High Honor Choirs. They will perform at First Church of the Nazarene in Bethany on Monday, November 4.

⭐Congratulations to Jackie Blanton, Mckayla Brack, Kinley Keylon, Ian Mathias, Rheliegh Simon, and Brandon Young, for being selected to the Central Oklahoma Choral Directors Association High School Honor Choir. They will perform at First Church of the Nazarene in Bethany on Monday, November 4.

⭐Congratulations to Brandon Young on his selection to the Oklahoma All-State Jazz Choir. Brandon is one of only 24 singers throughout the whole state that was selected to participate in this prestigious choir, and he had to place in the top 6 in his voice part to be selected! He will perform at the Oklahoma City Convention Center in January.

DCHS Students will be required to wear the badge around the neck the entirety of DCHS sporting events. Students will not be allowed to enter the game without their badge. They will not be able to show us their Infinite Campus. Students, please wear your badge to the game for the entire time you are on campus.

Families, PK-8 students will be required to have a guardian with them at the game in order to enter. PK-5 students must have an adult take them to concession stands, restroom, and food trucks.

Our first annual Orchestra Hauntcert is Tuesday, October 29th at 7:00 p.m. in the PAAC. It is free and will showcase all new orchestra students from 6th-12th grade.

I am reaching out to you to share an amazing Leadership program opportunity for High School Juniors. Youth Leadership Oklahoma (YLOK) is currently accepting applications for Class 25. YLOK is seeking applicants who are current high school juniors and passionate about advocating for their community and state. During the program, 52 selected students from across the state will travel throughout Oklahoma from June 1-6th, 2025 and learn about critical issues that impact Oklahoman's (ethics, entrepreneurship, health care, economics, philanthropy, tribal, government, etc). Participants will have the opportunity to connect with peers and develop their leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. This program is provided at no cost to the participants. Applications are due December 7th, 2024.
