Our school community believes that we can make a positive difference in the lives of others - one person at a time. This belief is described perfectly in the Star Thrower Story. Each month, we will invite our school community to participate in what we call Starfish Projects. These projects focus on sharing the gifts of time, talent, and gifts with our local community.

Socktober Sock Collection

Homelessness is on the increase in our local community. One pair of socks can make a huge difference in the life of someone experiencing difficulties - especially with winter approaching.

If your family is able donate a pair of socks to our collection, please consider purchasing a pair of socks for a man, woman, or child, that will be donated to homeless shelters within the greater Philadelphia area. Socks of any size and color will be much appreciated!

Sock donations will be accepted through the end of the month.

Candy Cares

After Halloween, we will be collecting leftover and unwanted Halloween Candy for homeless children who are unable to trick-or-treat. Shelters distribute the candy collected by Candy Cares over the holidays and special occasions, like birthdays. Please consider contributing after Halloween.

This year's PAB will be meeting in the next few weeks. Please consider responding to this month's PAB Survey using the button below so that you can share what is going well for you at Rose Tree Elementary, what you are finding challenging, and any suggestions you may have for improvements.

Please submit an RSVP for Grandparents & Special Friends Day using the button below. These RSVPs will be much appreciated for catering purposes.

Please take a look at the Charleston Wrap packets that were sent home last week. A flyer with detailed instructions about how to order online is included in the packet.

This has always been a popular fundraiser at Rose Tree Elementary. We hope that it is once again.

Paper orders will be collected until October 15 although online orders can continue until December 6!

Please join us at 7:00 PM for the October F.A.R.E. Meeting. This is an in person meeting.

Dismissal for students in grades 1-5 will begin at 12:20 PM.

AM K will follow their regular schedule.

PM K will not be in session.

Please join us at 8:15 AM in the Rose Tree Elementary Library for the October PTG meeting. This is an in person meeting and students are welcome to join us until 8:40 AM.

We are so looking forward to welcoming Grandparents and Special Friends to Rose Tree Elementary on October 25. Please review schedule and RSVP as soon as possible.

Be sure to put this on the calendar! Families will be invited to watch an afternoon Halloween Parade on First Avenue. There will also be a Trick or Treat Night A Casa Pizza sale! Details to follow!

The PTG supports the education of the students attending Rose Tree Elementary School with the goal of building our community and creating memories for our students. Many school events and activities our students participate in are funded by the PTG.

PTG kindly asks for $40/student.

This amount will help subsidize: Assemblies, Field Trips, School Community Events like Grandparents Day & Breakfasts with Special Friends, Playground Equipment and *NEW THIS YEAR*:

ALL HOMEROOM DUES will be collected thru PTG as part of the Dues and distributed to each classroom. Homeroom parents will not separately collect for the classroom celebrations but may ask for additional support for teacher gifts.

The Rose Tree Elementary PTG is pleased to continue providing Membership Toolkit as our school's family directory. Membership Toolkit is the PTG's tool for our family and faculty directories, online store, volunteer signups and email communications, including emails from your child's homeroom parents. It's secure, easy to use, and free to families of Rose Tree Elementary.

Already signed up for MTK in past years? Your child has already been graduated to this year's grade level - please just log in and update your child's teacher in the database.
