Principal's Message
Dear Families,
I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable Spring Break, spending quality time with your child(ren). With the kids back in their school routines and the warmer weather approaching, it’s a great time to get outside and enjoy the outdoors together.
Looking ahead, next Thursday we will have our first Tornado Drill of the year. Students will practice exiting their classrooms and getting to their designated safe spots in a quick, safe, and quiet manner.
That’s all I have for this week. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
Matt Patterson

2025-2026 Parent Input
2025-2026 Parent Input Forms
Our goal is to match your child's overall learning needs and preferences to an appropriate classroom environment. If there is specific information you would like us to consider as we make placement decisions regarding your child, please let us know using the Parent Input Form. Please avoid specific teacher requests and instead share information on a classroom environment/teacher personality that would be best for your child. If an older sibling had a teacher at Loveland, you may comment on that experience and it will be taken into consideration. If your child is a kindergartener, this form will be sent home in his/her folder on Friday, March 21st and will need to be sent back in by Thursday, April 17th. If your child is a preschooler, this input opportunity is found on the Kindergarten Questionnaire which is part of kindergarten registration. Please share ALL relevant placement concerns/information via the form provided. We are unable to accommodate individual emails, personal notes, phone calls, and impromptu meetings, due to the high number of students placed each year. We look forward to working with you and your child next year!
Social Skills for school-age children
Every parent knows school friendships are important. Friends enrich children’s lives and they help make school fun! Developmentally speaking, making a friend in school is every bit as important as getting an A. Learning how to form successful peer relationships is a critical skill for kids, and one that they will be using—and refining—all their lives. How can parents help? Emphasize taking turns and sharing during family playtime, practice different strategies for settling conflict, and model good social behavior when talking to family members and your own friends. Supervised playdates are a great way for children to build their social muscles. Spend time talking before play dates to help them go smoothly:
Talk with your child about what it means to be a good host. What will your child do to make their guests feel comfortable?
Have your child pick out a few games in advance. How will your child know when it’s time to move on to the next game?
Ask your child how they’ll know if guests are having a good time. Are they smiling? Laughing?
Friendships give school-age children a sense of belonging. They also build children's self-esteem and develop their social skills.
SCHOOL FEE REMINDER
School Fees
Loveland City School District will begin sending automated reminders about outstanding school fees, including unpaid preschool or kindergarten tuition. Families with unpaid fees will receive a call and email with the total amount due for this year and any previous years. These messages will occur monthly when there is a balance to be paid. To see details of outstanding fees or make a payment, please follow this link to log in to PaySchools Central. If you have questions about unpaid fees, please contact Jenna Hawks at: hawksje@lovelandschools.org
Get Transportation updates on your Smartphone
You can get information about bus routes and bus delays online or on your smartphone. Follow this link to our Transportation page, or download the “My Ride K-12” app from your phone’s app store. Once you’ve registered and logged in, you can connect with your student’s information with their 5-digit student ID and last name.
The app now allows real-time tracking of your student’s bus. If you activate push notifications, our transportation team can send you notifications about transportation delays.
