CES- Principal Message
Happy Sunday, Chameleon Families!
I hope everyone enjoyed the small amount of snow we got this weekend and stayed safe. Please read below for upcoming activities at school and information on Track Change Requests.
We are in Need of Extra Clothes!
During the school day, students will often need a new shirt or new pair of pants or shorts because of mud on the playground, a bloody nose, or a bathroom accident. When students don't have an extra pair of clothes at school, we provide them with extra clothes to wear or call home when we don't have any.
At this time, we don't have many clothes left and don't have any larger size clothes. If you are going through your children's closets and donating clothes, please consider donating any t-shirts or athletic shorts or pants to Carpenter. Thank you!
Track Change Requests
If you would like to request a track change for the 2025-2026 school year, please provide the information requested below by 8:00 pm EST, March 9, 2025. All forms submitted by the deadline will be given equal consideration.
Completion of this form does not guarantee a track change will be granted.
Track changes are limited by things such as the availability of open seats, number of classes per grade level, staffing, and any year-round middle school siblings. Please keep in mind that there are class size laws we must follow.

ACCESS Language Test
Beginning on January 13th, the ACCESS Language test will be administered to all multilingual learners (ESL students). This measures growth in the language domains of listening, reading, speaking, and writing.
Cary Chamber Honor a Teacher
The Cary Chamber of Commerce has been a leader in supporting education in our community through numerous programs and activities. One of the most critical needs of Wake County schools is that of attracting and retaining the best classroom teachers. With the Cary Chamber of Commerce's Honor a Teacher Program we hope to help our school system in meeting that challenge.
We have so many wonderful teachers at Carpenter! Please nominate one today! All nominations must be completed by February 3rd at 5:00 pm.

Learning to play chess is so beneficial to children. It helps them focus, think creatively, learn to accept defeat, win gracefully, and the list goes on. If you are interested in having your 2nd-5th grader learn more about chess or they are already an experienced chess player, please consider joining our chess team. This 12-week program is for both beginners and those who are experienced!
