Dear Dewey Middle School Families,

As the year comes to a close, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on the many successes we’ve achieved together and to express my gratitude for your ongoing support. The month of December is always a special time at Dewey Middle School, filled with both academic pursuits and festive activities.

Highlights and Celebrations This month, our students will showcase their talents both in and out of the classroom. From impressive performances in academic competitions and athletic events to outstanding displays of talent in our winter choir and band concerts, the dedication of our students and staff is truly inspiring. Thank you to everyone who attends and supports these events.

Preparing for the New Year As we look ahead to January, I encourage all families to continue fostering strong study habits at home. The new semester will bring fresh opportunities for growth, and we are excited to help every student achieve their personal best.

We are extremely proud of these students. They are excellent examples of the great students at DMS.

On Friday, December 13th, students will receive a letter which details their Semester Test Exemption Status. Exemptions are by class period attendance and grades. Students must have an "A" AND 5 or fewer absences OR a "B" AND 3 or fewer absences, in the class period, to be exempt. It does not matter whether the absence is excused or unexcused.
