Message From the Principal
Dear Tuffree community,
As we slide into the holiday season, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for our dynamic students, dedicated staff, and supportive families. This time of year reminds us of the importance of kindness, community, and connection.
I wish you all a restful holiday break filled with good times and moments with loved ones. We look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for the new year when we return! Happy Holidays!
Enthusiastically,
Sarah Barton, Principal

8th Grade Service Projects
During our monthly SOAR service project time, Mrs. Lapworth's group has been working on putting together new student welcome kits. This week, they assembled the kits and are preparing to deliver them to students next month. The students worked on their own to determine what items to put in the kits, how they wanted to present them, and assembled them with care. All Tuffree 8th graders are participating in this monthly effort to give back to their school community. Big shout out to TMS PTA for funding all of our projects!
Activities
January is Kindness Month! To celebrate, let’s dress up each Wednesday. LINK to spirit day info!
Vocal Music
Our concert choir, led by Mr. Santizo had an exceptional holiday performance at the PAC on Wednesday. They partnered with Yorba Linda Middle School to put on a fantastic show. We are so proud of the work they have done. Thank you Mr. Santizo!
Instrumental Music
Families, start saving your cans and bottles over winter break! Save your CRV bottles and cans for our Instrumental Music Recycle Drive happening the week of January 6th! We will be collecting bottles and cans on Wednesday January 8th, Thursday January 9th, and Friday January 10th in the drop off valet line before school. We will also be collecting on Saturday, January 11th, 2025 from 9am-12pm in front of the Tuffree Middle School.
Office Reminders
Health Office: Please remind students to go to the health office if they do not feel well. Our health clerk will assess and contact home if needed. Students are not to be using their phones during school hours, and if they text you to pick them up, then we are unaware that there is a sick student on campus and it becomes a safety concern.
School Calendar: The school calendar can be found here.
Daily Attendance: Every day counts when it comes to student attendance. Students must maintain good attendance to achieve academic success. When a student is absent, please contact the attendance office.
